CARDIGAN
Size S/M ( L/XL)

125 g (150g) of yarn ( 100% mohair), 25g = 100 m, straight needles #8 (metric)/ #11 (US) and circular needle #10 (metric)/ #15 (US)

gauge: 12 sts / 17 rows (4x4 inches or 10x10 cm)

BACK: (#8 needles)
CO 50 ( 56) sts and work in stockinette stitch,
Waist shaping: Dec 1 on both sides in the 10. and 20. row
Inc 1 on both sides in the 26. and 40. row
Armholes: When your work meas 32 cm ( = 55 rows) BO 2 sts on both sides, then dec 1 on both sides 2x in every 2. row.
Neck: When work meas 48 (49) cm BO 10 sts in the middle, again BO 5 sts on both sides of the neck in the 2. row, knit in stockinette stitch for 2 more rows, BO all.

Left front: (#8 needles)
CO 21(24) sts, work in stockinette stitch;
Inc in every second row (right side of work) : 1x 3sts, 2x 1 st; then in every 4. row: 3x 1 st;
Work the waist dec and inc and the armholes as above ( for the back), but begin the v-neck shaping at the same time you begin with the armholes: dec 1 in every 2. row for 13 times; work until the left front meas the same as the back, BO
Right front:
Work mirror-inverted;

Sleeves:
CO 30 sts; inc 3x (4x) in every 24. (18.) row 1 st on both sides; after the inc work 5 more rows, then BO 2 sts on both sides; then dec 2x 1 st in every 2. row and 3x 1 st in every 4. row on both sides ( for size L/XL dec again 1 st on both sides after 2 rows); work 2 more rows, BO remaining sts.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.

Pick up and knit following pattern (#10 needles):
1.R: * k2,p2 *
2.R: * p2, k2 *
3.R: * k2, p2 *
4.R: * p1, M1 , p1, k2, p2, k2 *
5.R: * k3, p2, k1, M1, k1, p2 *
6.R: BO

... for the sleeves: 30 sts
… for the back ( lower edge) :46 (52) sts
…for the lower left edge, left front, left v-neck and half of the neck : 90 (96) sts
… for the lower right edge, right front, right v-neck and other half of the neck : 90(96)sts

Sew all pieces and don´t forget to close the two part of the rib in the neck.
