New Look-influenced. Dress construction features a nipped in waist (10 darts) and a wide spead of skirt . The drop-waist is exquisitely scallop-shaped (lined with netting). Faux button placket shows off 16 tiny buttons (dress opens with a metal zip at side). Bracelet-length, cuffed dolman sleeves. Rounded collar is decorated with a rhinestone "brooch" and three pink velvet ribbons. Full full skirt is pleat-folded at the hips.
Fabric is lovely. Crisp, lustrous birds-eye faille is printed in pink, turquoise-green, and off-white on navy. The brush-stroke print abstractly depicts florals.
Beautifully of its time.
