Chateau Marmont. John Belushi died here at the exclusive Hollywood hotel of an overdose of heroin and cocaine in 1982. He was 33. Belushi was with Robin Williams and Robert De Niro on the night of his death, but they were not there when friend Cathy Smith administered the fatal speedball. She was eventually charged with involuntary manslaughter.
