The Canon EOS Rebel XSi ($800-$900; April 2008) offers features like Live View LCD viewfinding, a 3-inch, 230,000 pixel screen, the DIGIC III image processor, shutter speeds up to 1/4000 sec., light sensitivity up to ISO 1600, and a new self-cleaning 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor. Take our advice if you plan on purchasing: skip the $900 kit and its lame starter lens, grab the $800 body-only package, and put the extra cash towards a better, beefier lens.
