adjustable power track allows you to move theoutlet around

Every once in a while, an invention comes on the market that clearly stands out for the convenience and value-added breakthrough it brings.

The Eubiq revolutionary power outlet system is such a success story, and was one of the 14 recipients of the DEX06 and ARCHITEX06 Exhibition's New Product Award.

Introduced to Malaysia by sole distributor, Exaltech Sdn Bhd, its managing director Chua Sui Hau said, "Practical and flexible, Eubiq is the world's first and only electricity delivery system that combines a power track, individual outlets, plugs and adaptors for all the major electricity platforms in the world".

he soft shape, similar to an hourglass, allows Max to compose a domino effect between a number of tables of the same type and with the other elements of office furnishing. It can therefore live by itself or together with its fellows, creating a more populated environment. The interplays of connections are easy and fast, thanks to its lightness and mobility.

It is very easy to combine with the other elements of the Kartell office, thanks both to the “neutral” design of Max and the versatile colours in which it is available. added on 2007-06-28

Using wind power, Jason Bruges' installation Wind to Light illustrates alternative energy sources in the form of a cloud of LEDs. Mini wind turbines power the lights (both are mounted on poles); as the wind moves through them, it creates a visual pattern. added on 2007-06-26

After a battery has ceased to power up your gadgets properly, just shove it into the mouth of the Battery Eater and his LED eyeballs will blink until every last bit of juice has been extracted. It’s kind of like the robot equivalent of a nature film where a snake slowly suffocates it’s prey to death. added on 2007-06-26

Lets preface by saying DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Truth be told, as designers I’m sure we’ve done something similar. I remember burning foam just to watch it melt and sizzle into some unrecognizable blob. Tom Price’s Meltdown Chair takes it a step further.

This chair is created by heating and pressing a seat-shaped former into a ball of polypropylene rope. The rope begins to liquify as it comes into contact with the heated former and, as it cools, it sets in the shape of a seat creating a contrast in form and texture to the remaining rope. No additional material has been added to make the seat - it is all made from melted rope. added on 2007-06-26
