When I was a little kid, the movie Poltergeist absolutely terrified me and made me fear simple everyday things like my toys, trees, televisions, closets, steaks, stairways, chairs, swimming pools and especially clowns. If you have a phobia of clowns, that fear was most likely caused by that evil damn clown from this movie. Well now you can root the same fear into your children today by giving them the Holy Grail of horror movie props, the Lifesize Poltergeist Clown Replica ($1200)!

Although this isn't the actual clown featured in the movie, which is probably locked away in Steven Speilberg's office or something, it is a very faithfully recreated lifesize and complete full-sized replica that is sculpted, cut, stitched, sewn and painted by hand. It would definitely make a great Halloween prop, the ultimate home theater decoration or just an evil gift to give at a birthday party, but be sure to watch it very carefully or you too could find yourself getting dragged under the bed in sheer terror!

Classic arcade video games like Pac-Man, Donkey-Kong and Galaga may have been forever lost to ancient history, but you can still bring a piece of this retro fun into the home with these cool new Space Invaders Cutting Boards ($130). These handmade wooden cutting boards have one of the famous space invaders embedded right into the woodgrain. They are made of durable dark walnut and hard-maple cubes that are glued together and then sanded and polished to a shiny finish. You better skip the arcades for awhile and save up those quarters quickly, because these galactic cutting boards are extremely limited and once they are gone, it's game over! added on 2008-07-23

I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure of drinking from a beer helmet before, but I might give it a go with the funny Mohawk Drink Hat ($17). Unlike a boring old helmet, this hat looks like a head with a mohawk hairstyle with two cupholders hanging off each side. Simply, crack open a few cold ones, strap this thing to your head and hook up the cans to the built-in straw. Now you are ready to drink like a true punk-warrior, while enjoying the game. added on 2008-07-01

I have a huge collection of old Betamax movies collecting dust from way back in the 80s and it's time I upconverted them to high definition in a media format that I know I will be able to use and trust throughout the 21st century! With the cool new Betamax to HD-DVD Converter ($30), I can simply pop in an old analog Betamax tape, hit the one-touch record function and before I know it a perfect HD-DVD archival copy that I can finally watch over and over again. I love investing in quality obsolete technology, don't you? added on 2008-04-01

These are the droids you're looking for...

No self-respecting home theater, office or hardcore Star Wars fan's collection is complete without lifesize replicas of those two lovable droids from a galaxy far, far away, C-3PO ($5950) and R2-D2 ($5450).

Sideshow Collectibles and Fred Barton Productions have teamed up to bring private collectors the most authentic 1:1 scale lifesize replicas of C-3PO and R2-D2 ever made. These droids appear to have come straight out of hyperspace right into your living room. Both figures are made out of fiberglass, feature realistic paint styles and weathered effects from the original trilogy, have moveable parts for articulation and include light and sound effects like Artoo's beeps and bloops and Threepio's famous quotes. They also both include magnetic removeable restraining bolts, just in case they attempt to flee and seek out Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Now that I'm older, those little plastic Star Wars action figures I collected as a kid seem utt added on 2008-03-31

If you grew up in the 1980s, you more than likely had a Rubik's Cube. Yes, the classic toy puzzle cube that had you twisting and turning colored cubes over and over again, endlessly hoping to return the cube back to its original state. I never did solve my cube. The last memory I had of it was a melting blob of fiery plastic burning in my backyard during a Transformers Vs Gobots war over Energon cubes.

Apparently, this toy cannot be destroyed in toy battles though, because it's back and it's now... a table! The Rubik's Cube Coffee Table ($600) is inspired by the classic toy and makes a cool end table or coffee table. Thankfully, the colored cubes in this version don't actually move, so it will always be in a perpetual state of solved. added on 2008-03-26

Does anyone else remember owning the Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine ($15) back when they were little kids? I do, it was awesome! I think.

The Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine was shaped just like Snoopy's doghouse and you put the ice cubes in through the roof, turned the crank, pushed the ice down with the Snoopy ice pusher and it ground the cubes down into shaved ice, er snow. Then you would take the little snow shovels, fill up your cup and top the shaved ice with syrup from the little snowman bottle or any other type of juice you wanted. Well, unbelievably it's back and ready for the next generation of youngsters or maybe just for you to use secretly at the office. I wonder if the kids of today even know who Snoopy is? added on 2008-01-22

Sure the Sony PlayStation Portable is a state-of-the-art modern handheld video gaming system, but it will never be as cool as the old arcade games from the 1980's. Think about it, wouldn't you rather just have a full-size Galaga arcade machine instead? Well, why not simply combine the best of both worlds with Cardboard Mini Arcade Cabinets ($16), designed exclusively for the Sony PSP. Simply unfold the cardboard, insert your PSP and voila, it's a mini replica arcade system that also doubles as a display stand. You get a set of two mini arcades, Dirt Track Rally and Cosmic Intruders. I Think I would still rather have Galaga... added on 2008-01-01
